About the Role
The University Health Network (UHN) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Breast Imaging Technologist to join our team at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. As a key member of our Medical Imaging department, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of medical imaging technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of Breast Imaging procedures using digital equipment, ensuring high-quality images and excellent patient care.
- Conduct digital quality assurance to meet mammography accreditation standards.
- Participate in teaching and training of new staff and students.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Breast Imaging Charge Technologist to ensure seamless workflow and adherence to institutional policies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- Current registration with the Canadian Medical and Radiation Technologists (CMRTO) and completion of continuing education requirements.
- Membership with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
- Previous experience in Breast Imaging, with successful completion of Mammography 1 and 2 certificates from CAMRT.
- Completion of a Basic Life Support (BCLS) program or current Level II: Basic Rescuer certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong technical skills, with the ability to adapt to new technologies and processes.
