Position Overview

This role offers the chance to collaborate with engineers, managers, and various departments, providing insights into the operations and engineering functions within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

The position involves a variety of project-related tasks associated with the design and operation of the gas system, including:

  • Designing natural gas facilities and pipelines, encompassing stress analysis and equipment selection
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to advance capital projects
  • Conducting engineering evaluations, identifying opportunities and shortcomings, and preparing reports for existing and proposed infrastructure
  • Researching and developing design standards
  • Proposing process enhancements and ensuring adherence to company and industry regulations
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering program, preferably with a focus on Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (Third or Fourth year recommended)
  • Participating in a Co-op program
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and current driving record
Additional Skills
  • A strong interest in the energy sector and utility operations
  • Familiarity with CAD software
  • Ability to interpret mechanical and P&ID diagrams of piping systems
  • Effective public speaking skills
  • Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with diverse teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in writing reports and memos in a corporate setting
