Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commodities Manager to join our team at Loblaw Companies Limited. As a key member of our commodities team, you will be responsible for managing cost increase reviews and providing commodity expertise to support our strategic sourcing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze supplier proposed cost changes, providing strategic recommendations to drive successful resolution.
  • Facilitate negotiations with suppliers, coordinating with other team members to ensure effective cost management.
  • Develop and implement cost improvement initiatives, leveraging market data and performance insights to drive business results.
Requirements
  • University degree in business, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in commodity markets, procurement, or merchandising, with a strong understanding of cost management principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply new knowledge and drive business outcomes.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
