About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Shift Supervisor to join our team at CRH Canada - Cement ON. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing production activities to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our cement plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and supervise production shift personnel to ensure safe and efficient operation of the plant
  • Enforce all company safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe working environment
  • Monitor and control production processes to meet quality and production targets
  • Manage inventory and supplies to ensure optimal production levels
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of the plant
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity
  • Provide training and guidance to production staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans to ensure the safety of employees and the community
Requirements
  • Minimum of a College Diploma in Engineering or Mechanical Millwright Trade Apprenticeship
  • University Degree in Engineering, with a strong technical background preferred
  • Experience working in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment, preferably in a cement plant
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and 14001 guidelines
  • Occupational Health and Safety knowledge and application of same
  • Proficient computer skills, including email and applications such as SAP and Excel
