Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at OIC Foods Inc. as a Night Shift Production Supervisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the efficient use of labor and product yield, ensuring that production meets or exceeds client quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production Management
    • Ensure the efficient use of labor and product yield to meet production goals.
    • Hold team leads accountable for ensuring proper running of production lines and packing procedures.
    • Foster innovation and continuous improvement with a focus on quality.
    • Monitor and analyze daily/weekly departmental performance through effective KPI tracking and data collection.
  • Communication and Employee Management
    • Schedule labor requirements for the shift to ensure production goals are met within budgeted cost structure.
    • Provide daily feedback to employees through coaching and administer performance appraisals.
    • Complete shift briefings to ensure effective communication of relevant information to all employees.
    • Assign and follow up with team leads, operators, and general workers on task completion.
  • Quality and Food Safety
    • Monitor all aspects of processing activities to ensure compliance with quality management program, HACCP program, regulatory, and customer/buyer requirements.
    • Ensure employees perform work in compliance with established standards.
    • Reinforce adherence to GMP, GHK, food safety, SQF, food security, work instructions, and company policies and procedures.
    • Collaborate with team members for hold and release of products on occurrence.
  • Other Duties
    • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
    • Fulfill duties of a supervisor under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
    • Assume additional related responsibilities as required by Plant Manager.
    Requirements
    • Diploma or bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum one year of directly related work experience.
    • One year of supervisory experience.
    • Experience working in the dairy manufacturing industry will be an asset.
    • Knowledge of HACCP, WHIMS, or other chemical safety training will be an asset.
