Job Summary:
The Production Line Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the operation of the mixing department in the food processing plant. This role will involve managing the mixing process for cookie dough production lines with a hands-on approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operation of the mixing department to ensure efficient production and high-quality products.
- Manage the mixing process for cookie dough production lines, including training staff in mixing methods and safety procedures.
- Identify temporary labor requirements and inform the supervisor to make arrangements.
- Organize breaks in accordance with employment standards and ensure maximum utilization of available resources.
- Assign tasks to team members and act as a backup to the supervisor in day-to-day tasks.
- Complete and submit required paperwork for the shift.
- Supervise employees to ensure recipes are followed and production goals are achieved.
- Train employees to work in the mixing department as required.
- Inspect batch mixtures to ensure customer specifications are followed and work closely with the quality assurance team.
- Ensure adherence to GMP, quality, and health and safety standards at all times.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and programs, including GMP, quality, food safety, and health and safety.
Working Conditions:
- Weekend work required.
- Overtime as required.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Fast-paced environment.
- Physical demands: bend, carry, lift, push/pull, reach.
- Standing for long periods.
- Ability to work in a hot/cold environment.
