Job Summary:

OIC Foods Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor - Night Shift to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient use and overseeing of labor and product yield.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the sequences of productions are achieved based on lean manufacturing principles, reducing labor downtime and inefficiencies in equipment usage.
  • Hold team leads accountable for ensuring proper running of lines and packing procedures, and that all production meets or exceeds client quality standards.
  • Foster innovation and continuous improvement with a focus on quality, facilitate the adoption of change, and create a high-performance culture through alignment of team work with organizational goals.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report daily/weekly departmental performance through effective KPI tracking and data collection for respective shift.
  • Maintain close interaction with customers to develop strong relationships and assess service requirements.
  • Schedule labor requirements for the shift to ensure production goals are met within the budgeted cost structure.
  • Provide daily feedback to employees through coaching and administer performance appraisals.
  • Handle all disciplinary situations appropriately and in a timely manner with supporting documentation.
  • Complete shift briefings to ensure effective communication of relevant information to all employees.
  • Assign and follow up with team leads, operators, and general workers on the length of time required for tasks to be completed.
  • Daily approve all labor hours in adherence with company policies, maintaining accurate record keeping.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum one year of directly related work experience.
  • One year of supervisory experience.
  • Experience working in the dairy manufacturing industry will be an asset.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, WHIMS, or other chemical safety training will be an asset.
