Key Responsibilities:- Enhance the efficiency of deliveries in our primary markets.
- Assist the shipping department and operations team to maximize process efficiency.
- Devise and implement strategies to manage or lower operational expenses.
- Optimize the use of resources including facilities, vehicles, and operational equipment.
- Oversee logistics costs aiming to achieve the lowest possible cost for delivered goods while maintaining and improving Logistics metrics (KPIs - Key Performance Indicators).
- Promote operational excellence while adhering to health and safety standards.
- Contribute to the formulation and execution of the fleet budget and initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with drivers, shippers, and all management levels.
- In-depth knowledge of Supply Chain, Fleet Management, and/or Logistics.
- Experience in warehouse operations and business improvement methodologies.
- Proficient computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to identify logistical challenges, issues, or opportunities.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with functional and management teams to assess and provide solutions.
- Exceptional interpersonal, management, and communication abilities.
- Comfortable engaging with stakeholders across all business areas and leadership levels.
- Results-oriented and driven.
- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience is advantageous.
- Knowledge of the Logistics and Building Supply industry is beneficial.
- Familiarity with routing, dispatch, and warehouse management systems is essential.
