Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee administration related to documented internal control protocols.
  • Maintain, update, and modify established program administrative controls as necessary.
  • Assist in the establishment, documentation, updating, and verification of compliance with contractual service and performance benchmarks.
  • Manage monthly claims accrual processes and ensure reconciliation with finance and senior management reporting.
  • Handle activities related to active claims service agreements.
  • Process new claims across various systems, ensuring accurate data entry and logging in claims records.
  • Develop and maintain a resource library containing materials pertinent to specialty insurance and program business, including claims reporting and handling procedures, contracts, policy wording, and underwriting guidelines.
  • Act as a liaison for the claims department with both internal and external auditors.
  • Facilitate communication between underwriting, brokers, claims service providers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Administer specialty programs, including initial evaluations concerning claims processing.
  • Proactively manage the Claim Audit Program Schedule, ensuring timely updates and current status tracking.
  • Prepare and disseminate monthly, quarterly, and annual claims reports to internal associates, third-party administrators, brokers, and external adjusters.
  • Conduct regular analyses and reporting on individual programs, division performance, trends, and patterns.
  • Review and report on adherence to established key performance indicators measuring service and performance.
  • Analyze and report on vendor-related loss adjustment expenses.
  • Assist with recovery requests and demand letters under supervision.
  • Track early recovery efforts through confirmed estimates and adapt notes for pending payment approvals.
  • Support technical services for estimate tracking and invoice payment confirmation under guidance.
Qualifications
  • Preferred completion of post-secondary education.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Exceptional communication skills (both oral and written), with a focus on strong business writing.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
  • CIP designation or progress towards completion is preferred.
  • Prior experience in claims administration is advantageous.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Power BI is beneficial.
  • Experience in managing specialty claims programs is a plus.
