Job Summary:

The Kitchen Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring that food is prepared and served to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Food Preparation and Service: Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, ensuring that food is prepared and served in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Inventory Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and maintain accurate records of stock levels and inventory.
  • Staff Supervision: Train and supervise kitchen staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and address any customer complaints or concerns.
  • Administrative Tasks: Prepare and submit reports, maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare budget and cost estimates.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen management role.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, noisy, and odorous.
  • Work Setting: Coffee shop, fast food outlet or concession, and restaurant.
  • Physical Capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with standing for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, team player, initiative, and dependability.
