Job Title: Estimator - Surrey BC

Matrix Labour Leasing Ltd is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to plan cost factors for building projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed estimates for all projects, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Maintain the estimating cost database to ensure costs are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail, and manage the estimating team in the preparation and submission of bids.
  • Consult with clients, architects, and subcontractors to discuss and formulate estimates, effect cost reductions, and resolve issues.
  • Assist the project management team in planning procedures for construction, including reviewing plans and specifications for constructability issues.
  • Research construction documents and analyze specifications to determine estimated costs.
  • Prepare quantity take-offs and estimates costs of materials, labor, and equipment required for each project.
  • Write and review bid packages, and present project budgets to clients and project managers.
  • Administer the turnover process and hand off to the project management team.
Requirements:
  • Over 5 years of experience in estimating and construction.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, including phone skills.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills, with the ability to work in fast-paced environments.
  • Time management and attention to detail are essential.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Benefits:
  • No overtime; regular hours of 8:00 – 4:30, Monday to Friday.
