About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and physically fit individual to join our team as a Painter Assistant at Your Choice Drywall Taping. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for assisting our experienced painters in various tasks related to drywall taping and finishing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load and Transport Materials: Safely load and unload construction materials, such as drywall, paint, and tools, from our vehicles to the work site.
  • Erect and Dismantle Scaffolding: Assist in setting up and taking down scaffolding, ramps, and other equipment necessary for our work.
  • Mix and Apply Finishing Coats: Help our experienced painters mix and apply finishing coats of paint and other materials to ensure a smooth and even finish.
  • Perform Routine Maintenance: Assist in performing routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning equipment and tools, to ensure our work site remains safe and organized.
  • Remove Debris: Remove rubble and other debris from the work site to maintain a safe and clean environment.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work under Pressure: Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and high expectations.
  • Physical Demands: Be physically fit and able to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials and equipment.
  • Repetitive Tasks: Perform repetitive tasks, such as loading and unloading materials, for extended periods.
  • Hand-Eye Coordination: Demonstrate good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills to handle tools and equipment safely and effectively.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Schedule: 35 to 40 hours per week.
