Job Title: Advanced Practice Clinical Leader

Job Summary:

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Clinical Leader to join our team. As a key member of our clinical leadership team, you will play a critical role in supporting the implementation and evaluation of best practices in the assessment, treatment, and care of patients with acute psychiatric illnesses and concurrent substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support point-of-care staff in the implementation and evaluation of best practices in clinical care
  • Collaborate with the Adult Inpatient Service and Psychosis Recovery and Treatment Outpatient leadership team to develop and implement clinical programs and services
  • Role model clinical practice in complex care situations and engage in direct care activities for high-risk clients
  • Lead the development of program groups and support inter-professional collaborative care
  • Participate in quality improvement projects and quality reviews focusing on patient safety and outcomes
  • Supervise graduate students and provide clinical guidance and support

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Nursing or related discipline
  • Registered member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (or related discipline)
  • 5 years' experience in mental health and addiction treatment
  • Demonstrated understanding of complex psychiatric and physical health needs of the clinical population
  • Additional qualifications such as CNA certification in psychiatric/mental health or other relevant certification
