Job Title: Landscaping Supervisor

The Great Canadian Landscaping Company Ltd is seeking a skilled Landscaping Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our outdoor operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and maintenance of our landscaping projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire, Supervise, and Schedule Staff: Lead a team of landscapers, gardeners, and maintenance personnel to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Schedule Events and Programs: Coordinate with clients to plan and execute events, programs, and activities that showcase our landscaping expertise.
  • Plan and Estimate Labour and Materials: Develop detailed plans and estimates for projects, ensuring accurate budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Organize and Direct Construction: Oversee the construction of decks, decorative walls, and other landscape features, ensuring high-quality results.
  • Maintain Work Records and Logs: Keep accurate records of project progress, staff performance, and material usage.
  • Requisition Materials and Equipment: Order necessary materials, equipment, and supplies to support project execution.
  • Resolve Work Problems and Provide Technical Advice: Troubleshoot issues, provide guidance, and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and product quality.
  • Plan and Organize Daily Operations: Develop daily schedules and task lists to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Evaluate Daily Operations: Monitor progress, identify areas for improvement, and make adjustments as needed.
  • Coordinate Subcontractor Activities: Work with subcontractors to ensure seamless execution of projects.
Requirements:
  • Education: College or CEGEP diploma in a relevant field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in landscaping, construction, or a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
