Retail Store Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and reliable Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at 10064519 Manitoba Ltd (O/A Shell Canada). As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a team of retail salespersons and sales clerks to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Manage Store Operations: Oversee the day-to-day activities of the store, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and cash handling.
  • Lead by Example: Demonstrate a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of store operations.
  • Resolve Issues: Address customer complaints, supply shortages, and other issues that may arise in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage Inventory: Organize and maintain inventory levels, ensuring that stock is accurately counted and stored.
  • Supervise Staff: Supervise and coordinate the activities of 5-10 staff members, including grocery clerks and shelf stockers.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of retail experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, ability to work under pressure, and attention to detail.
