Retail Store Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and reliable Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at Shell Canada. As a key member of our retail operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a team of retail salespersons and sales clerks to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Manage Store Operations: Oversee the day-to-day activities of the store, including inventory management, cash handling, and visual merchandising.
  • Lead by Example: Demonstrate a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of store operations.
  • Drive Sales Growth: Develop and implement strategies to increase sales, improve customer satisfaction, and enhance the overall shopping experience.
  • Manage Inventory: Ensure accurate inventory levels, manage stockroom operations, and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Supervise and coordinate the activities of grocery clerks, shelf stockers, and other store staff to ensure seamless store operations.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of retail management experience.
  • Work Setting: Retail service establishment.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand for extended periods, work under pressure, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Organized, reliable, team player, dependable, and ability to multitask.
