About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Courier Van Driver to join our team at MAILMATE LOGISTICS INC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering and picking up messages, parcels, and other items by hand, operating and driving automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery and Pick-up Services: Deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand, ensuring timely and efficient service to our customers.
Vehicle Operations: Operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products, adhering to all safety and regulatory requirements.
Communication and Record-Keeping: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, keeping accurate records of items received and delivered.
Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and storage of items.
Package Sorting: Sort packages for delivery, prioritizing efficiency and accuracy.
Navigation and Direction: Follow directions and read maps to ensure timely and efficient delivery of items.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Work Setting: Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Physical Demands: Lift and carry items up to 9 kg (20 lbs), requiring physical stamina and endurance.
