Job Title: Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Atrium Boutique. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our guests.

Job Summary:
  • Lead the kitchen team and ensure the smooth operation of food preparation and service.
  • Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the needs of our guests.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, supplies, and equipment to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Train and develop kitchen staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment that meets health and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Co-ordinate special events and functions, including weddings, corporate events, and holiday parties.
  • Determine the size of food portions and costs to ensure profitability and efficiency.
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements for events and daily operations.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to ensure timely delivery and quality.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standard.
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring their safety and satisfaction.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Order supplies and equipment to maintain a well-stocked and efficient kitchen.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Organize buffets and banquets to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for guests.
  • Manage kitchen operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and profitability.
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Ability to train and develop staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
