The Communicative Disorders Assistant will provide communication and hearing screenings, as well as implement communication intervention programs individually and in groups based on the goals outlined by the supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide communication and hearing screenings
  • Implement communication intervention programs
  • Assist SLPs with therapy materials and session planning
  • Manage program waitlists and promotional activities
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a Communicative/Communication Disorders Assistant program
  • Sound understanding and skill in the practice of Communication Disorders
  • Ability to work effectively with children, youth, and families
  • Effective management of changing caseloads
  • Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team
