About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at BC Mental Health and Substance Use Services. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex mental health and substance use challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess clients' occupational performance issues and develop personalized plans to address their needs.
  • Collaborate with clients, caregivers, and healthcare providers to implement occupational therapy services.
  • Implement evidence-based interventions to promote clients' occupational potential and well-being.
  • Conduct health, psychosocial, and functional assessments to identify clients' needs and develop strategies to address them.
  • Provide education and counseling to clients and their families on occupational health and wellness.
Requirements
  • Baccalaureate in Occupational Therapy.
  • Two years' recent experience working in a psychiatric setting with individuals who have complex mental health and addictions issues.
  • Current full registration with the College of Health & Care Professionals of BC.
  • Eligible for membership in the College of Health & Care Professionals of BC.
