About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Department Sales Manager to join our team at Sport Chek. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for leading and developing a high-performing team of sales associates to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of sales associates to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional customer service.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive growth and improve customer engagement.
- Coach and mentor sales associates to improve their sales skills and customer service abilities.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to address them.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives and customer service standards.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity to ensure Sport Chek remains competitive.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a retail sales environment, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Proven track record of sales growth and customer service excellence.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
