Director of Technology and Information Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Technology and Information Services to join our team at School District #40 (New Westminster). As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our technology and information services strategy, ensuring that our district remains at the forefront of innovation and excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive technology and information services strategy that aligns with the district's goals and objectives.
- Provide leadership and vision for the development and implementation of technology and information services, including infrastructure, applications, and support services.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize technology and information services needs, and develop solutions to meet those needs.
- Supervise and support the work of the Technology and Information Services team, ensuring that they have the resources and support they need to succeed.
- Manage the district's technology and information services budget, ensuring that we are getting the best value for our investment.
- Negotiate with software and hardware vendors to secure the best possible deals for the district.
- Research and implement leading-edge educational software and technologies to support student learning and achievement.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in a public sector or large complex organization.
- Considerable experience and success in integrating new technologies and methodologies into a large organization.
