Director of Information Technology

New Westminster Schools is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Information Technology to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the effective use of technology to support our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a strategic technology plan to support the district's goals and objectives.
- Provide leadership and vision for the development of district technology and information services.
- Define, deliver, and manage a cost-effective and reliable technology infrastructure and architecture.
- Supervise and support the work of Technology and Information Services staff.
- Manage the technology and information services budget and expenditures.
- Negotiate with software and hardware vendors on pricing and terms and conditions for major acquisitions and renewals.
- Research and implement leading-edge educational software and technologies to support student needs.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant post-secondary education.
- Considerable experience and success with integrating new technologies and methodologies into a large organization.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
