Job Summary:
New Westminster Schools is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Technology and Information Services to lead the development and implementation of the district's technology and information services. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and vision for the district's technology and information services, ensuring that they are aligned with the district's strategic priorities and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a strategic technology and information services plan that aligns with the district's strategic priorities and goals.
- Provide leadership and direction to the Technology and Information Services team, ensuring that they have the necessary resources and support to deliver high-quality services.
- Develop and manage the district's technology and information services budget, ensuring that it is aligned with the district's financial priorities and goals.
- Collaborate with district leaders and stakeholders to identify and prioritize technology and information services needs, and develop solutions to meet those needs.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the use of technology and information services in the district, ensuring that they are aligned with the district's policies and procedures.
- Provide technical support and guidance to district staff, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to use technology and information services effectively.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends, and identify opportunities for the district to leverage them to improve student learning and achievement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Considerable experience in leading and managing technology and information services teams, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to provide direction and guidance to staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with district leaders, staff, and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
