Job Title: Assistant Deputy Minister & Chief Information Officer

Join T-Net British Columbia as we seek a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Information Technology (IT) division. As the Assistant Deputy Minister & Chief Information Officer, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership in the planning, implementation, and sustainment of information systems and supporting infrastructure technologies within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans and budgets for IT initiatives
  • Direct the activities of the IT division and provide vision and direction to LDB executive and senior management staff
  • Establish the IT organizational structure and prepare the organization for business continuity/disaster recovery
  • Procure software and hardware, manage vendors, and enforce architectural and security standards
  • Participate in strategic planning processes and develop policies and programs to respond to changes in IT business environments
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or business management
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive management experience in an IT environment
  • Strategic planning, budget, performance management, change leadership, and succession planning experience
  • Effective consulting and guiding executives to implement corporate initiatives
  • Experience working in a senior capacity in a government organization or crown corporation
