Assistant Store Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced retail professional to join our team as an Assistant Store Manager at the Ontario Mills Premium Outlets in Ontario, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and management, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and driving business results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Store Manager in achieving sales goals and developing a comprehensive knowledge of our merchandise.
  • Open and close the store, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Coach and train store personnel to help them achieve their personal sales goals and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and coach store employees to ensure peak performance of the store and employees.
  • Implement and manage CRM data, inventory, revenue, merchandising, and loss prevention programs in accordance with company policy.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure that all employees within the store provide the same level of service.
  • Maintain the stability, security, and reputation of the store by complying with corporate, legal, and security requirements.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and professional working environment.
  • Monitor and maintain merchandise to ensure cleanliness, accurate ticketing, and proper display.
  • Service watches, including sizing and battery changes as needed.
Requirements:
  • Strong selling skills and at least 3 years of retail management experience.
  • Experience in watch, jewelry, fashion, accessories, cosmetics, specialty, and/or luxury retail is strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented.
  • Must have intermediate computer skills, including MS Office (Word/Excel).
  • Must have open availability and flexibility to work according to the needs of the business and to ensure store objectives are met.
