Position OverviewWe are looking for a self-motivated IT Support Specialist who excels in understanding complex technical requirements and providing exceptional support to our employees. This role is crucial in ensuring the seamless operation of our IT systems and involves diagnosing hardware and software issues, troubleshooting network challenges, and maintaining essential security software within the Azure/M365 ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver first-line technical support to employees, efficiently resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software applications, and peripheral devices.
- Oversee the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to operating systems, software applications, and hardware failures.
- Assist in setting up and managing user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Conduct regular system updates, backups, and preventative maintenance to ensure IT system stability and security.
- Collaborate with external vendors to resolve technical issues and coordinate hardware repairs.
- Document and maintain accurate records of technical support requests and resolutions.
- Provide training and support to employees on IT systems and software applications.
- Stay informed about the latest industry trends and technologies to recommend improvements to our IT infrastructure.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience as an IT Support Specialist or in a similar technical support capacity.
- Experience with security-centric software in the Azure/M365 stack, including SharePoint, Entra, Azure Defender, Intune, and Exchange.
- Strong understanding of computer hardware, software applications, and operating systems (Windows).
- Experience in network administration, including LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and firewall configurations.
- Familiarity with IT security practices and protocols.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills, capable of explaining technical issues to non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) are advantageous.
