POSITION OVERVIEW: The Sales Territory Manager will oversee essential sales operations involving external clients within the Northern Alberta - Peace Region. This role requires the application of strategic sales methodologies to meet established sales and profit targets in alignment with organizational goals.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: A college degree is mandatory, preferably in Agro Science or Business, alongside a minimum of 5 years of sales experience with territory management. Experience in the agricultural chemical sector or related fields is highly desirable. Candidates must reside within the designated territory. Previous engagement with distributors, retailers, agricultural consultants, and key growers to achieve territory objectives is advantageous.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. 50% Manage customer accounts within the territory; maintain regular communication with clients and key stakeholders to gather product performance insights. Develop and execute support programs for products/distributors/dealers in the territory. Engage with internal and external stakeholders to achieve territory goals for existing products.
  2. 20% Create annual and monthly sales forecasts, manage warehouse stocking predictions, document significant customer interactions, and uphold the annual business strategy for the territory. Monitor product distribution and forecasts, addressing customer complaints as necessary.
  3. 10% Assist in formulating distribution strategies and tactics to meet sales and profit goals.
  4. 10% Ensure compliance with company policies regarding individual sales targets, expenses, promotions, travel, and entertainment budgets.
  5. 10% Prepare and deliver sales presentations for both internal and external audiences; develop presentation materials, including handouts and visuals. Collaborate closely with supervisors or product management to identify effective marketing and promotional initiatives, securing approval for territory business plans.
