Meat Processing Specialist

As a Meat Processing Specialist at Freshmart, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and presentation of our meat products. Your expertise will contribute to our commitment to providing fresh and high-quality meats to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Meat Preparation: Clean and prepare various types of meats for processing and cutting.
- Cutting and Trimming: Skillfully cut carcasses, sides, and quarters into standard cuts of meat.
- Weight Management: Accurately weigh meats for sale and ensure proper pricing of meat products.
- Poultry Processing: Cut poultry into parts for retail.
- Fish Preparation: Clean and prepare fish and shellfish, cutting them into steaks and fillets.
- Supervision: Oversee the work of other butchers, meat cutters, and fishmongers.
- Training: Provide training to new meat cutters to ensure quality standards are met.
- Specialty Products: Create unique sausages and prepare special orders as requested by customers.
Education: A secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
Experience: A minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience in meat processing.
Work EnvironmentThis is a permanent position with a standard work schedule of 35 hours per week. The primary language of work is English.
