About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Meat Processing Assistant to join our team at Freshmart. As a key member of our meat department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our meat processing and packaging processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials with precision and efficiency.
  • Measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines, ensuring accurate quantities and quality control.
  • Feed flattened boxes into forming machines to construct containers, maintaining a high level of productivity and quality.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to queries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Remove filled containers from conveyors, ensuring a smooth and efficient packaging process.
  • Manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers, adhering to quality and safety standards.
  • Feed and unload processing machines, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Check products and packaging for basic quality defects, reporting any issues to the relevant team members.
  • Assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas, maintaining a safe and hygienic environment.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
Working Conditions
  • Permanent position.
  • 35 hours per week.
  • English language required.
