About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our team at Colliers Project Leaders. As a key member of our infrastructure services business unit, you will be responsible for leading a wide variety of infrastructure projects across Southern Ontario.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership to clients' projects, ensuring their best interests are represented and strategic goals are achieved.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, applying your expertise in design, construction, and operation of community infrastructure.
  • Lead clients through the project lifecycle, from set-up to execution, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Organize project teams towards a common goal, establishing levels of authority and communication.
  • Report on project status through progress reports, meeting minutes, and other reports.
  • Chair project and site meetings, identify and resolve project issues, and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
  • Serve as the relationship manager for select clients, nurturing trusted relationships.
  • Contribute to the planning and growth of the infrastructure services business unit within Southern Ontario.
  • Apply leadership and communication skills to bring together stakeholders and project teams.
  • Ppeer review the work of, mentor, and develop project managers and engineering staff.

Qualifications

  • A degree or diploma in civil engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • P. Eng. and PMP designations preferred.
  • Experience in delivering large infrastructure projects, such as roads, highways, bridges, rail, and/or water and wastewater conveyance.
  • Minimum 10 years of consulting engineering experience delivering capital projects.
  • Previous exposure to capital and municipal planning for infrastructure development.
  • Extensive client-facing experience in the delivery of related projects.
  • Led and/or significantly contributed to the preparation of RFP/Q's, tenders, and tender awards.
  • Strong working knowledge of various design and construction delivery models and associated industry standard contracts.
  • Practical understanding of provincial government planning legislation and processes.
  • The leadership skills needed to influence decisions and resolve client and project issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of scheduling (MS Project).
