Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of Controls Engineers in the development of automated assembly systems. Your expertise in electrical and mechanical controls technology will be essential in driving the success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and mentor a team of Controls Engineers to ensure the delivery of high-quality projects.
  • Collaborate with the Applications Engineering team to develop proposals and win new business.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to design and implement controls architectures that meet customer specifications.
  • Develop and implement tools and methods to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Approve work products and ensure that they meet quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain labour, material, and schedule forecasts and provide regular updates to Program Management.
  • Lead and mentor team members to ensure their professional growth and development.
  • Collaborate with Controls Managers to set goals and manage performance.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A post-secondary diploma or degree in electrical, mechanical, or software controls technology.
  • Demonstrated experience in an industrial development environment, producing controls for automated assembly systems.
  • Proven leadership qualities, including good communication skills, ability to motivate team members, and a willingness to take responsibility.
