Design and Develop Cutting-Edge Control Systems

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team at ATS Automation. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing and implementing innovative control systems for a wide range of industrial automation projects.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers to ensure the seamless integration of electrical controls into machine designs, prioritizing safety and reliability.
  • Lead the development of comprehensive electrical design packages, encompassing schematics, cable routing diagrams, and panel layouts, adhering to industry best practices and customer specifications.
  • Select and specify appropriate electrical and control-related hardware and software components, ensuring optimal performance and compatibility.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of electrical design packages to guarantee accuracy and completeness before production.
  • Provide expert technical guidance and training to customers on project-specific control systems.

Your Qualifications:

  • A post-secondary diploma or degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in electrical control systems design within an industrial automation environment.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software such as ePlan and AutoCAD.
