About the Opportunity

Aecon Concessions is seeking a skilled Project Planner to join our team and contribute to the success of our transformative infrastructure project in the GTA. As a key member of our planning team, the Project Planner will be responsible for ensuring high-quality deliverables and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, ensuring accuracy and integrity of data across the project life cycle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect, verify, and integrate work scope for all entities into the total project plan.
  • Review and analyze project scope representation in schedules, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Support resource planning and analysis, forecasting resource requirements for labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Prepare progress reports and dashboards to provide project status updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyze schedule variance, float, and trending, monitoring schedule KPIs and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Support progress measurement processes and analyze progress and performance data.
  • Perform audits on schedules, including those produced by subcontractors, and prepare required output documents.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain, add, or modify schedule data and plans.
  • Support schedule 5D integration process with 3D models and cost, reporting outputs including cash flow and sequence simulations.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 4-7 years of planning experience in mega projects.
  • Strong experience and ability in planning, scheduling, and managing complex projects.
  • Proven problem-solving skills with sound judgment, accepting ownership and accountability.
  • Expert-level knowledge of project planning and scheduling software, including Primavera P6.
