Job Title: Child Care Worker Assistant

Alberta Ltd. is seeking a qualified Child Care Worker Assistant to join our team. As a Child Care Worker Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our child care centre.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest
  • Encourage children to express creativity through various media
  • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
  • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings
Requirements:
  • Child Development Assistant (ECE Level 1) certification
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a child care setting
  • Permanent position with 32 to 40 hours per week
  • English language proficiency
