We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at A.K. Garg Enterprises Ltd.
Job Summary:The Retail Store Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This includes supervising staff, assigning duties, hiring and training new employees, and maintaining a high level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the activities of sales staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
- Assign sales staff to duties, ensuring that the store is adequately staffed at all times.
- Hire and train new employees, ensuring that they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
- Maintain a high level of customer service, ensuring that all customers receive a positive experience.
- Manage cash and maintain accurate records of sales and inventory.
- Conduct performance reviews, providing feedback and coaching to staff as needed.
- Establish and maintain a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring that all health and safety regulations are adhered to.
- Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees, and assist with their immediate settlement needs.
- Support social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees, and provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment.
- Recruit and support youth, and provide on-the-job training tailored to their needs.
- Support Indigenous people, and provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees.
- Support visible minorities, and apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against them.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail environment.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and attention to detail.
- Ability to distinguish between colours, and stand for extended periods.
- Client focus, flexibility, organized, reliability, team player, dependability, initiative, and ability to multitask.
