Job Title: Youth Support Worker, Youth Transitions Program

Job Summary:

The YMCA of Greater Vancouver is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth Support Worker to join our team. As a Youth Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing support and guidance to vulnerable youth, helping them to achieve their goals and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group support to youth, helping them to develop life skills and achieve their goals.
  • Work with youth to identify and address barriers to their success, such as poverty, lack of education, or mental health issues.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to support youth in achieving their goals.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to youth in times of need.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and organizations to provide comprehensive support to youth.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field, such as social work, counseling, or youth work.
  • 2 years of experience working with vulnerable youth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
