Operations Manager

Basecamp Resorts is a rapidly growing chain of boutique hotels based in Alberta and British Columbia. Our latest upscale property, MTN House by Basecamp, features 99 newly renovated hotel rooms, an elevated restaurant with a farm-to-table ethos, and Canmore's first Nordic Spa.
Position OverviewWe are seeking a full-time General Manager to run day-to-day operations, displaying exceptionally high standards within an elevated and luxurious property. The General Manager will be responsible for the Guest Service Manager, Housekeeping Manager, Spa Manager, Restaurant Chef, and the Restaurant General Manager, ensuring smooth running of all amenities.
Key Responsibilities- Human Resources: Work with People & Culture on a wage grid, retention incentives, and hiring and terminating.
- Promote the Basecamp Brand: Ensure awareness of all regarding policies and rules and not only obey them but assist in enforcing them.
- Operations: Implement and manage the hotel's health and safety plan and meetings with the health and safety committee.
- Financial Management: Ensure that monthly financial outlooks for Net Operating Income, Rooms, Food & Beverage, Admin & General, and more are on target and accurate.
- New Business Development: Evaluate operational issues to determine how competitive and current it is with the latest trends in the industry.
- Community Relations: Become an ambassador for Basecamp in the local community, creating positive relationships with other businesses in the region.
- Valid Driver's License with clean abstract for three years minimum.
- First Aid Certification (training can be provided).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows – Outlook, Excel, Word.
- A solid understanding of pricing, budgets, and cost controls.
