About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Human Resources Leader to join our team at the Government of Canada - Western. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in shaping our human resources strategy and driving business success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement human resources policies and programs that align with our organizational goals.
- Lead the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions, ensuring effective organizational design and structure.
- Coordinate the work of regions, divisions, or departments, fostering collaboration and driving results.
- Establish financial and administrative controls, formulate promotional campaigns, and approve human resources planning.
- Set objectives for the organization and develop or approve policies and programs that drive business success.
- Represent the organization in negotiations or other official functions, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
- Select middle managers, directors, or other executive staff, delegating authority and creating optimal working conditions.
Supervision and Team Management
- Lead a team of 5-10 people, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure team success.
Work Environment and Requirements
- Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring strong attention to detail and ability to manage a large workload.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business results and achieve organizational objectives.
