Position Overview:

The Lead Business Analyst will act as a functional expert for all order to cash operations within SAP and other legacy systems. This role requires providing insights and recommendations to IT teams regarding functional system specifications and ensuring quality assurance throughout the various phases of the testing lifecycle as it pertains to all Order to Cash (OTC) activities.

Furthermore, the Lead Business Analyst will oversee all OTC functions, ensuring comprehensive analytical and testing coverage for all system implementations that influence the Order to Cash process across all business lines. Responsibilities include supporting stabilization efforts and resolving issues within OTC while serving as the Subject Matter Expert in this domain.

This role is evolving and encompasses a wider range of responsibilities across all functions within the order to cash area, requiring a cross-functional approach. The incumbent will provide independent oversight of the end-to-end Order to Cash process, delivering key insights and recommendations to functional leaders, while identifying opportunities for enhancements that drive continuous process and system improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the long-term ERP Roadmap focused on transforming business processes, particularly in the Order to Cash domain.
  • Assist in the development of detailed scope and business requirements.
  • Oversee all testing activities related to Order to Cash: Develop business requirements, comprehend all functional requirement documents, define testing scope, create test scripts, prioritize testing tasks, execute test scripts, report defects, and determine severity and priority of defects, as well as conduct regression testing following code modifications.
  • Serve as the functional expert and lead for all order to cash activities, taking on a leadership role.
  • Provide support to order to cash functions and regularly review processes to implement effective controls, identify gaps, and propose areas for process enhancements.
  • Act as the testing and process lead for the Order to Cash team, responsible for mentoring and training team members, including offering functional guidance and process recommendations.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify areas for technical skill enhancement.
  • Facilitate the onboarding of new team members.
  • Offer leadership and guidance in Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Lead continuous improvement project teams to enhance processes and support areas within order to cash.
  • Guide employees through workshops aimed at improving work processes to reduce cycle and process times.
  • Facilitate 5-S and KAIZEN Lean events.
  • Manage billing discrepancies and oversee error handling processes.
Technical Expertise Required:

This position necessitates in-depth knowledge of SAP S4 Hana and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook. The ability to execute complex formulas in Excel and create pivot tables is essential. Additionally, this role requires expertise in:

  • Structuring processes and controls.
  • Developing monitoring criteria and systems.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Facilitating and leading change management initiatives.
  • Process improvement methodologies, including Lean and Six Sigma.
Education & Qualifications:

A degree equivalent to University Graduation in General Courses – Business Administration or Accounting is required. A recognized diploma or certification related to Business/System Analytics or Testing Analytics is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP FI/CO is crucial. Familiarity with GAAP principles is an asset.

Experience:

A minimum of 4 to 5 years of progressively responsible experience is required. The ability to manage multiple tasks and analyze complex billing data with minimal supervision is essential. Strong leadership qualities and independent thinking are necessary. Previous experience with testing on SAP BRIM and FICA is advantageous.
