Position Overview:The Senior Business Analyst will act as a functional expert for all order to cash operations within SAP and other legacy systems. This role involves providing insights and recommendations to IT teams regarding functional system requirements and serving as a validation and quality assurance specialist throughout the various phases of the Testing lifecycle related to all Order to Cash (OTC) functions.
Moreover, the Senior Business Analyst will be tasked with supporting all OTC functions to ensure comprehensive analytical and testing coverage of all system implementations that affect the Order to Cash process across all business lines. Responsibilities include assisting with stabilization activities and resolving issues within OTC, while also being recognized as the Subject Matter Expert in this domain.
This position is evolving and encompasses a wider range of responsibilities supporting all functions within the order to cash domain, necessitating a cross-functional approach. The role requires independent and objective oversight of the end-to-end Order to Cash process, delivering key insights and recommendations to functional leaders, and identifying opportunities for enhancements that continuously drive process and systematic improvements.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the long-term ERP Roadmap aimed at transforming business processes specifically within the Order to Cash framework.
- Assist in the development of detailed scope and business requirements.
- Oversee all testing activities within Order to Cash: Develop business requirements, comprehend all functional requirement documents, understand testing scope, create test scripts, prioritize testing activities, execute all test scripts, report defects, define severity and priority of defects, and conduct regression testing whenever code modifications are made to address defects.
- Serve as the functional expert and lead for all order to cash operations, taking on a leadership role.
- Provide support to the order to cash functions and regularly review processes to implement adequate controls, identify gaps, and propose areas for process enhancements.
- Act as the testing and process lead for the Order to Cash team, responsible for mentoring and training other team members, including offering functional advice and process recommendations.
- Collaborate with team members to identify areas for technical skill development.
- Facilitate the onboarding of new team members.
- Offer leadership and guidance in Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Lead continuous improvement project teams to enhance processes and support areas within order to cash.
- Guide employees through workshops aimed at improving work processes to reduce cycle and process time.
- Facilitate 5-S and KAIZEN Lean events.
- Manage billing errors and oversee error handling processes.
This role necessitates in-depth knowledge of SAP S4 Hana and proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Outlook. The ability to execute complex formulas in Excel and create pivot tables is essential. Additionally, this position requires knowledge in:
- Structuring processes and controls.
- Developing monitoring criteria and systems.
- Effective communication skills.
- Facilitating and leading change management initiatives.
- Process improvement methodologies, including Lean and Six Sigma.
A degree equivalent to University Graduation in General Courses – Business Administration or Accounting is required. A recognized diploma or certification related to Business/System Analytics or Testing Analytics is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP FI/CO is crucial. Familiarity with GAAP principles is an asset.
Experience:A minimum of 4 to 5 years of progressively responsible experience is required. The candidate should possess the ability to multitask and analyze complex billing data with minimal supervision. Leadership qualities are essential, along with the capacity to think independently. Previous experience with testing on SAP BRIM and FICA is advantageous.
