Key Responsibilities- Safety Coordination
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs and policies in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Conduct safety training and manage safety-related documentation.
- Coordinate safety orientations and manage certificates.
- Collaborate with the Safety Advisors and Director to plan and execute safety training programs.
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, accidents, and near misses.
- Prepare reports and facilitate root cause analysis for management and regulatory agencies.
- Ensure that all safety equipment is properly maintained and accessible.
- Manage and update safety documentation, including safety data sheets (SDS) and safety manuals.
- Monitor and report on safety compliance and performance metrics.
- Assist in emergency response planning and participate in safety drills and exercises.
- Stay current with industry best practices, regulations, and standards related to workplace safety.
- Communication and Collaboration
- Act as a point of contact for employees to report safety concerns and provide guidance on safety-related inquiries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safety is integrated into all aspects of our business.
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance safety and compliance.
- Contribute to the development of safety policies and procedures.
- Experience in workplace health and safety is an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and engage employees.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in safety recordkeeping and reporting.
- Proficiency in using safety management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to assess and mitigate safety risks.
