Health and Safety Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Mattamy Homes. As a key member of our Health and Safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, contractors, and customers.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and monitor the Health and Safety program to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Collaborate with site managers, construction teams, and trade contractors to ensure safe working practices and compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure that all necessary safety documentation is completed and maintained, including incident reports, safety audits, and training records.
- Participate in incident investigations and assist in the development of corrective actions.
- Provide training and guidance to employees and contractors on Health and Safety procedures and protocols.
- Stay up-to-date with changing regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Health and Safety in construction and residential real estate.
- University degree or college diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
- OHS Provincial Certification.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital Health and Safety tracking tools.
