At Doctors of BC, our mission is to empower physicians to deliver exceptional patient care while promoting a healthy and thriving community. We are seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Liaison, Strategic Initiatives to join our team.

The Job

The Portfolio Liaison, Strategic Initiatives will lead and execute key portfolios to advance health system priorities as delegated by the Manager, Strategic Initiatives. This role requires strong engagement and collaboration with key partners, including physicians, health care providers, Doctors of BC staff, senior Ministry of Health, Health Authority executives, and community agencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategy to execute initiatives and programs to advance health system priorities.
  • Collaborate with key partners to identify opportunities for collaborative work across the health system.
  • Take a proactive approach to ensuring progress occurs across the portfolio and milestones are met.
  • Communicate effectively with the team, organization, and internal and external partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree and/or recognized professional designation in a related field, and up to six years of progressive and related experience OR an equivalent level of related work experience in-lieu of post-secondary education.
  • Experience working within the cancer and/or mental health and substance use healthcare system is an asset.
  • Experience in quality improvement methodologies, collective impact, or facilitating networks is an asset.
  • Public engagement training, project management, and change management training and experience is an asset.
  • Detailed knowledge of health regions, current issues, and trends is required, and experience working with health authorities, facilities, and physicians is preferred.
