Job Title: EDI Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced EDI Specialist to join our team at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing, evaluating, and maintaining our Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Plan and programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement EDI initiatives to promote a culture of inclusivity and respect
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create an open and inclusive environment
  • Ensure compliance with AODA and other relevant legislation
  • Provide training and support to staff, faculty, and students on EDI-related topics
  • Manage EDI programs and initiatives, including budgeting and resource allocation
Requirements:
  • Postsecondary degree in a related field (e.g., Education, Psychology, Social Work, or Human Resources)
  • Understanding and commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion principles
  • Experience in a similar role or work in the EDI area
  • Formal training and experience in investigations is an asset
  • Thorough knowledge of legislation related to EDI in Ontario and British Columbia
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong conflict management skills
  • Excellent organization, time management, analytical, and research skills
  • Tact, discretion, and ability to exercise professional judgment
