The Industrial Electrician plays a vital role in the success of Frito Lay Canada by delivering exceptional maintenance on a variety of manufacturing equipment, implementing long-term solutions to recurring reliability issues, and enabling our predictive and preventative maintenance programs to support the production of snack food products enjoyed by our communities.

Responsibilities
  • Maintenance of site equipment
  • Completion of preventative and predictive maintenance inspections and electrical and/or mechanical repairs for all equipment within area of responsibility
  • Execute daily assigned work orders and accurate account for parts utilization
  • Manage through emergency breakdowns
  • Support in root cause analysis and prevention of future downtime events
  • Work collaboratively with operators and other classifications across the site to reduce downtime, safety and quality risks
Qualifications
  • Certified Journeyman Electrician (Alberta or Red Seal); certified Power Engineer would be an asset
  • Experience maintaining industrial equipment in a past-paced environment
  • Experience with predictive maintenance, instrumentation, PLC's, and/or VFD's would be an asset
  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Able to prioritize multiple important priorities
  • Able to lift > 50 lbs, walk stairways, bend and twist, and stand up to 12 hours per day
