Position Summary: We are currently seeking a full-time Category Management Specialist to join our Customer Category Management Team. This role will serve as a Vendor Advisor, focusing on one of our key customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the execution of customer category strategies, particularly in assortment, pricing, and shelving.
- Conduct proactive analysis and provide shopper insight-driven recommendations against all key business drivers.
- Lead presentations related to category business reviews, assortment and space optimization, promotion and pricing effectiveness, and trade efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- Approximately 6+ years of experience in Sales, Finance, Marketing, or Business Management.
- At least 4+ years of customer/sales experience, including a minimum of 2+ years in Category Management.
- Strong understanding of Field Sales and Retailer processes in business analytics, as well as distribution challenges.
- Creative problem-solving skills in a dynamic retail environment, with knowledge of retailers, products, vendors, materials, and common category management practices.
- Proficient in syndicated and panel data analysis (e.g., Nielsen) and familiar with pricing, promotion, and assortment optimization software.
- Experience working with customer syndicated data systems such as LDIA, IRI, Dunnhumby, and Retail Link.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to analyze data and effectively convey insights to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to respond swiftly and complete tasks in a timely manner to meet deadlines.
