Senior Compliance Officer, Regulatory Reporting and Special Projects

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Specialist to join our team at BMO. As a key member of our Compliance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our business operations are in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the implementation, maintenance, and administration of compliance programs to support our business operations.
- Conduct risk assessments, monitoring, testing, and surveillance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Work with business partners to ensure regulatory, corporate, and fiduciary obligations are met.
- Advise business partners on implications of new regulatory developments or internal products.
- Identify risks and implement appropriate actions to mitigate them.
- Develop and maintain compliance information for analysis and reporting.
- Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and developments to ensure compliance.
- Typically minimum of 6 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Recognized compliance certificate or equivalent preferred.
- Detailed knowledge of consumer protection regulations and related marketing and advertising guidelines.
- Skilled knowledge of regulatory/compliance requirements and the operations of a single client group.
- May require experience at a regulatory body for one or more compliance area(s).
- Strong communication, critical thinking, relationship management, and project management skills.
- Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience.

- A competitive salary range of $74,000 to $138,600 per year.
