**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Professional to join our team at the Bank of Montreal. As a key member of our Compliance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective implementation and maintenance of our compliance programs.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Coordinate and perform risk assessments, monitoring, testing, and surveillance activities to ensure our compliance programs remain current and aligned with regulatory requirements.
- Advise business groups on the implications of new regulatory developments and internal products.
- Identify risks and implement appropriate actions to mitigate them.
- Develop and maintain compliance information for analysis and reporting.
- Achieve compliance goals by maintaining current knowledge of regulatory requirements and developments.
- Provide oversight and make recommendations that significantly impact the Bank's ability to monitor regulatory compliance programs.
- Build effective professional relationships with business groups, internal/external stakeholders, and trust with regulators.
- Analyze and report on compliance data to gain insights on regulatory risk.
- Conduct and/or effectively challenge risk assessments for business groups.
- Provide advice and guidance to assigned business groups on the implementation of solutions aligned to regulatory risk appetite.
**Requirements**
- Typically minimum of 6 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Recognized compliance certificate or equivalent preferred.
- Detailed knowledge of consumer protection regulations and related marketing and advertising guidelines.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, relationship management, and project management skills.
- Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills - In-depth.
**Compensation**
The salary range for this position is $74,800.00 - $138,600.00. BMO Financial Group's total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
