Position Overview: The Employment Services Coordinator plays a crucial role in establishing and nurturing partnerships within the community and with employers to enhance opportunities for job seekers.
Role Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with employers to identify hiring needs and create placement opportunities for job seekers, including internships, job shadowing, and both temporary and permanent positions.
- Provide individualized job coaching, assisting clients during their onboarding process and reviewing essential training materials, safety protocols, job responsibilities, and organizational policies.
- Conduct detailed task analyses and offer tailored instruction to clients to help them acquire job skills and develop effective workplace behaviors on a one-on-one basis.
- Ensure compliance with program eligibility criteria while negotiating training incentives with employers and managing related documentation and follow-ups.
- Create and manage a comprehensive database of employer and recruiter contacts.
- Organize and participate in career fairs and recruitment events hosted by employers or community organizations.
- Maintain accurate electronic records regarding job placements and provide necessary feedback to the team.
- Promote the agency through active participation in job fairs, community boards, and professional associations.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field such as recruitment, sales, or community outreach.
- Strong skills in marketing, customer service, and networking.
- At least 2 years of experience supporting individuals with disabilities or complex employment barriers.
- Familiarity with community service networks and knowledge of income support programs.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel) and possess effective research skills.
- Experience with databases; familiarity with CAMS is a plus.
- Access to reliable transportation for necessary travel.
- Flexibility to work non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
- Ability to work remotely as needed.
